Day 27

January 27, 2013
Sold out. Sorry!

Sold out. Sorry!

I had so much fun with my niece and grand niece yesterday. (I had to look up the definition to see if I call my niece’s daughter my great- or grand-niece. It’s Grand. But I’m still her Great Aunt. Or as I refer to myself in her presence, “The Greatest Aunt of The All!”)

Grand niece is the daughter of your niece or nephew. Great niece or great grand niece is the grandaughter of your niece or nephew. Just as in grandmother and great grandmother.

Glad I could clarify that for all of us.

After the jewelry making and the creme-brulee eating ended, they left for home. Nugget was up north, Thing 2 was at work and then Thing 1 left for work. I had the rare few hours of a house all to myself. What to do. What to do.

Plans were I might go to a movie with Childhood Pals Judy and Jen. But they decided to stay home and I was without a vehicle.

I kind of did a little celebration dance in my head.

I decided to lay on the couch and watch chick flicks.

I’m not sure if this was a good choice, as far as timing goes and it being the 3rd anniversary of my breast cancer diagnosis, but Family Stone was on (with Sarah Jessica Parker and Dylan McDermott Mulroney) and I really like that movie, so I watched it. And cried because of the breast cancer involvement.

Then I watched Eat, Pray, Love. I really like this movie, too. And there’s no breast cancer in it so it was a better end to the chick flick watching.

Today I’ve got bill paying and jewelry stuff to attend to. Maybe a little creme brulee eating.

One of these days I’ll clean my house again.

But not today.

I knew a lady who didn’t differentiate. All those kids were just her “grands.”
