Happy Birthday to a Gentle Man and a Bully. Two Exes.
I’m not going to talk about the weather. I can’t take it.
I had to be into work by 6:30 this morning because I was in charge of bringing breakfast for MLK day. We celebrated MLK day with yogurt parfaits. Yogurt, granola and berries. That’s what MLK would want, I’m sure of it. I added mini chocolate chips for my own self.
I had to stop on the way home from work today and pick up something at the office supply store for work.
In the weather.
That I’m not talking about.
Stupid weather.
Today is the birthdays of my ex-husband and an ex-boyfriend. The ex-husband and I are still friends. The ex-boyfriend was a cop, who hit me once. Once. I then broke up with him immediately. He tried to get me back the very next week by calling me to tell me he bought me a house. No thanks. I don’t need a house that comes with a cop who hits women.
I started dating his best friend the very next week.
That went over really well.
That guy never hit me but he hit the two girlfriends he dated after me.
“Why did you never hit me?” I asked him, having fought with him verbally for a year. God, did we argue during that year we dated.
“You would have told everybody!” he replied.
Which is now a lesson to every girl out there. Don’t let the bullies silence you. And don’t let them hit you but if they hit you, tell them to fuck off.

I love that Kathy! You would have told everybody! A woman after my own heart! Been there, done that,,,and yes,,I told everyone. I’m not talking about the stupid weather here either. (Please note–first comment of the year,,,and it’s still January. Thank you.)
I think you need to pick up the pace with the commenting, Mary! Glad to hear you’ve also got a big mouth!
Hear, hear!
