Day 19 – True Confessions of a Sucker
Sometimes I’m the dumbest person I know.
Here I am, plowing my way through those Janet Evanovich/Stephanie Plum novels and I think to myself, huh, I wonder if those peanut butter and olive sandwiches that Stephanie Plum eats are any good. Must be a reason Janet Evanovich keeps writing about them.
So I made myself one for breakfast the other day. I know. Gluten. Whatever.
It tasted horrible!
Yes. I finished it. I am tenacious. I figured that just because I didn’t like it at first didn’t mean I wouldn’t end up liking it.
I ended up hating it. And then for the rest of the morning, I thought about it and figured it must be some sort of inside joke with Janet Evanovich and a friend of hers.
I wasn’t going to confess this to you. But here I am, confessing it to you.
Oh, and I took a picture of it before I ate it.
I’m here to entertain.
Do you think she meant peanut butter and black olives?
I’m not trying it.
Really.
Okay, maybe.
You’ll be the first to know.
Actually, you’re the only one to know about this sandwich experiment.
Don’t tell Nugget.
He’ll have me committed.

Eww. I love peanut butter and I love olives, but the two together don’t sound good at all. Don’t try the black ones, Kathy! Save yourself! (and save the ingredients for a better use!)
Definitely gross! And I’ll eat just about anything! I won’t try the black olives. Promise.
i like the black ones and i bet they would be better than the green ones… but that doesn’t mean it would be good..
I think you should try the black ones and get back to us!
It actually sounds good to me, but I am a green olive freak.
When I was a kid, we used to eat peanut butter and tomato sandwiches with a friend down the street. It was good then, don’t think I could do it now. Peanut butter and banana though, yummy!
The reason Stephanie Plum probably ate that combination, was because she had nothing else in her refrigerator/kitchen! Ha.
