Bauble a Day – Day 4
Will you look at that title? So full! I must be feeling better. Which makes a person wonder why I’m not at work today. You see, I’m feeling better but I can’t wander too far from home, for some reason that I refuse to go into here.
I will be very happy to see this virus gone. Wow. The flu. It ain’t for sissies.
So I have this bonus day off and as much as I can, I’m going to take advantage of it and try to do some super house cleaning. Our tenant, Eddie, moved out this week and I need to deep clean that basement. And because I’ve got the jewelry-making fever going, I want to get his old room set up for my studio again. I’ve got a deadline of January 26th because that’s when my niece is coming over, with her daughter, for her daughter’s Jewelry Making Birthday Party, Now With Cupcakes!
You guys have been so supportive about my new jewelry. I’m telling you, it’s been years since I was thinking in baubles! Pre-cancer since I was dreaming up jewelry like I am again. I’m back, baby! I might even start thinking about having another boutique in my house. Okay. That was too far. I’m nowhere near that yet.
So I’ll be making some jewelry on my day off. And I will be finishing up the 12th Stephanie Plum novel and then moving right into #13. Last night, while reading in bed, there was a part in the book that had me laughing out loud. Janet Evanovich, while not a literary genius, writes very fun books. Who needs snooty literature when a book has you laughing out loud?
Life is too short to read highbrow books, is what I’ve learned recently.
And winter is too bleak to not make brightly colored baubles!
Seriously. Winter. I hate it. I’m struggling with it this year. I don’t know why this year in particular, but the cold and the lack of light is really ticking me off! I won’t rest easy until pitchers and catchers report for spring training. Until then, I need to put one foot in front of the other. One bead at a time.
Does too make sense!

Winter is exactly why I moved to San Diego~!
I totally understand that, beanie. Maybe one day…
How funny, I too am living for the day the pitchers and catchers report, and I don’t even care that much about baseball! I love the jewelry, and your hair looks amazing.
Thanks Mary. It’s good to have some more hair – even if it’s as fake as my boobs! I’m not that big of a baseball fan, either.
