Bauble Day 3
Look at that! I’m shortening the Bauble a Day blog title already. By day 20 I should be down to “20″.
I feel like crap. Still. From that pukefest of Saturday/Sunday. I left work early today, my stomach feels like a friggin’ rock.
I am so pleasant.
I think that pounding numerous ounces of Pepto Bismol and hands full of Tums may have left me a bit “backlogged”, shall we way.
Sure. Let’s say that. I’m nauseous but I don’t let that stop me from eating. I eat. Then my stomach gets rock hard.
I am a vicious cycle unto myself.
Tomorrow’s Friday. I’m going to try to make it through a whole day’s work tomorrow. And them I’m going to figure out a way to get rid of this stomach virus, one way or another.
Unless it’s cancer. Damn you, Sting! Why did your cancer start with a bad stomach?
Why did I not know she was sick until she was in her last few day’s of life? I would like to have asked her some questions. Like, did she feel exactly the way I’ve been feeling since Saturday, before they found out it was incurable, fast-acting, cancer?
I miss her. She would have chuckled at that.
Let it be a reminder to you. Call your friends more frequently. Don’t let even four months go by because that fast-acting cancer is fast!
I got home in time early enough to catch Dr. Oz’s 13 miracles in 2013 and I think I’m going to look into a couple of them. Which one of you told me about that hair powder stuff? I can’t find it on the Doctor Oz sight, or the minoxidil product currently available. Yeesh! What a poor website! Anyway, I’ll figure it out and look into both of them. And, of course, I’ll let you know what I find out.
Found them: Toppik for the hair powder and Keranique for the topical minoxidil. I ordered the Toppik but want to do more research on topical minoxidil.
What I want to find out now is a miracle cure for this stomach virus!
I’m gonna go lay down and read more of the 13th Stephanie Plum book. Goofy Stephanie Plum.

be careful of the minoxidil. When this stuff hit the market as a hair grower it was lovely for men but the general consensus was women shouldn’t even handle the stuff (this was back when I spent my time in a dermatology office so it was a hot topic there). The stuff was originally a high blood pressure med so systemically that is a pretty strong drug and that women were felt to be at risk screams since women’s health is one of the last considerations of our “health” care system.
Man! Hair isn’t worth that risk! Thanks GBW!
Love me some Stephanie Plum. I read the new 19th one yesterday. Hope you are feeling better soon! Oh, and I love these baubles!
